Kathy Olson: Hello Phillippe, I see you have the Amoureux name, and I recently visited the Amoureux House. In Ste. Genevieve they pronounce Amoureux as "Am-a-roe". How have you always pronounced your last name? Just a curious visitor. Thanks.

Donna Strand: Hello Kathy Grant, You are the first I have had communication with about my research of my Amoureux-
Beauvais family history connection. My dad is half Norwegian(Strand) and half French (Amoureux). Benjamin C. Amoureux, married the daughter of Joseph Vital Beauvais, Pelagie Vital (Beauvais) in 1831, in Kaskaski, Ill. For years my strong yearning to visit Quebec (Beauvais from Quebec), and visit France (Amoureux from France), now drives me toward Ste Genevieve, Missouri, where my ancestry connects. Veronica Nadine Amoureux (my grandma), was born, in 1904, in Ste Genevieve. The Amoureux picture of Marytoi in the Picturetrail was my grandma's sister. All her brothers and sisters's, 7 total, were born in Ste Genevieve. They eventually moved to Oregon.
So, here we are, way out west.

Cynthia R. Lewis "Moonlite": Due to my strong desire to find my cousin I kept going online until I found this message mentioning family members. I was sooo excited! This is something I have wanted to do but never got a round to it. I notice Turner being a family name. Does anyone know if Nat Turner was our relative! I am just in ah. My grandmother is Ponchetta Mullin/Lewis. She was married to a doctor and I see we had a doctor also in our family tree. I know you will find more info I look forward to receiving it.
