LIVE A LIFE THAT MATTERS

Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises,
no minutes, hours, or days.

All the things you collected,
whether treasured or forgotten,
will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.

It will not matter what you owned
or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear.

So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It won't matter where you came from
or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end.

It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter?
How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought,
but what you built;
not what you got,
but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success,
but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned
but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence, but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many feel a lasting loss when you're gone.

What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice. Choose to live a life that matters.

Well Hello Dyle. I opened up your home page and it was so nice. The music, the page, the atmospere, no communist terminating our work. I have never left picture trail, I still upload pictures every now and then. I am thinking about staying off of redbubble for a while. I will leave my page just in case some one wants to buy some of my work. I know that is a long stretch, Ha ha. I think that picture trail will become my home again.

Hi there Dyle...

Thank you for your comments!
Sorry for the late reply, I was on a 30-day vacation in Brasil and I didn't got that much time to spent at PT... Anyway,I'll consider about selling my shots, the fact is that at the moment I'm making the shots with the camera from my work (Canon 1ds MK2) I may not sell the shots I make. I'm intending to buy my own pro- dslr as soon I have finished my 6 month mission in Afghanistan. Then I'll be able to make shots with my own camera and sell those great shots :-) ...
Hope you're doin well Dyle I look forward to see some new shots from you...

Hope to hear more from you...

For now, take care and stay safe...

Warm regards,

Peter

Hello Lady Dyle, when you get time check out our homepage. New slides, music, guest book and background. We couldn't resist using it since we lived 20 miles from there for 37 years and have actually seen the photo in real time on numerous occasions. It is the St. Louis River Front at night with the Gateway Arch taken across the Mississippi River in Illinois. We still visit there regurarly even though we are 90 mile away now. Also check out Tucker, he has learned to hop up on a stool and beg for treats. He will actually push the stool into the middle of the room to tell you he is ready.

Julie said she loved the poem. In reference to you comment about him on the bed, his official registered name is "Plumb Tuckered Out" Julies idea, at least one of us has a sense of humor.
